A momentous two-day event for the Irish hairdressing industry was held in September at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Athlone. Salon owners, industry experts and education experts came together to write the new apprenticeship award in professional hairdressing.
The Writers Symposium event followed on from the Shaping the Future National Consultation Workshops that were hosted in locations around Ireland over the summer. The writers symposium was an inspirational event that drew not only on the expertise of those present, but also on their wisdom, to write a programme of excellence that would meet the needs of the hairdressing industry in Ireland. They also had the responsibility to ensure that the programme content would equip the new apprentices with the skills and knowledge they will need to be the professional hairdressers of the future. Thank you to everyone who took part for their expertise, wisdom and commitment to their industry.
